They are flying these 28 phenomenal women coming from different places in the Philippines to take the Miss Universe Philippines crown in Bohol this weekend.

The airline arranged an exclusive flight for the Miss Universe Philippines candidates and delegates boarding with flight Z2 8358 that departed NAIA Terminal 3 at 10:00 am, yesterday then arrived at Panglao International Airport in Bohol at 11:25 am.
Together with the Ms. Universe Philippines Organization, the airline both shared a strong commitment to rebuilding confidence when it comes to air travel, as well as, tourism.
In a statement made by AirAsia’s PH Spokesperson Steve Dailisan, “AirAsia has always been about making things happen”. The airline believes that Filipinos worldwide need inspiration, especially in these trying times. Pageantry has always been one of the Filipinos’ sources of “unkaboggable” joy and excitement. Indeed, Filipinos are known to be the best crowd for cheering every candidate in this kind of competition.
Dailisan said that the partnership with Miss Universe Philippines Organization shows the airline’s strong support in advocating women empowerment that opened an opportunity for tourism industries to bounce back from the disruption brought by the pandemic.
First time to work with AirAsia Philippines
In addition, the MUP organization posted a statement on its official Instagram page saying that the organization is committed to revitalizing live events, hospitality, and tourism industries once again. “The Province of Bohol is our partner in promoting this responsible and responsive way of holding live events and tourism in the new normal. Together, we intend to inspire our nation and give hope to Filipinos that we can triumph over this pandemic,” MUP added.

Dailisan added that this is not the first time AirAsia has worked with the organization since it appointed Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach as Brand Ambassador. Last March, the airline flew Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray to Bohol as well.
