“PHILIPPINES GOVERNMENT WILL ALLOW FOREIGN TOURISTS AND BUSINESS TRAVELERS INTO THE COUNTRY”

Philippines will reopen its borders to fully-vaccinated foreigners going to the nation for leisure or business from visa-free countries starting February 10.

The new guidelines (IATF Reso.160-B) apply to fully vaccinated former Filipino citizens with Balikbayan privileges, as well as their foreign spouses and/or children traveling with them to the Philippines, as long as they are not restricted nationals; and fully vaccinated citizens of countries entitled to stay visa-free for no more than 30 days under Executive Order 408, S. 1960

Foreign nationals who have not been vaccinated will be denied entry.

A FOREIGN NATIONAL IS DEEMED FULLY VACCINATED IF he or she has received the second dose of a two-dose series, or a single dose of a recognized vaccine, more than 14 days prior to the day and time of departure.

FOREIGNERS MUST PRESENT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS BEFORE FLIGHTING TO THE PHILIPPINES:

– Vaccination proof

– Within 48 hours, a negative RT-PCR test was performed. prior to leaving;

– Return flights must be purchased within 30 days of arrival in the Philippines.

– A passport with a validity period of at least six months; and

– Travel insurance from reputed insurers for COVID-19 treatment costs, with a minimum of USD35,000.00 coverage for the period of their stay.

ANY OF THE FOLLOWING PROOFS OF VACCINATION ARE VALID PROOFS OF VACCINATION

– International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis from the World Health Organization;

– VaxCertPH

– The country/foreign government’s national/state digital certificate that has accepted VaxCertPH under a reciprocal agreement.

– A foreign state’s vaccination certificate, whether digital or real; or

– A digital or physical immunization certificate from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Foreign minors traveling with a Filipino parent must follow certain rules.

  • Foreign children under the age of 12 who are traveling with a Filipino parent must adhere to their Filipino parent’s admission, testing, and quarantine regulations.
  • Foreign children between the ages of 12 and 17 who are traveling with a Filipino parent must adhere to the vaccination requirements based on their status (i.e., vaccinated or unvaccinated). If the youngster hasn’t been vaccinated, either parent should accompany them to the facility for their quarantine.

Foreign nationals who have been fully vaccinated will no longer be subjected to quarantine in a facility. Instead, individuals must self-monitor for seven days, with the first day being the day of arrival, and must report any symptoms to their local government unit.
