Safety has become a number one priority of both the airlines and passengers. In the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, airlines have resorted to abrupt measures to ensure the safety of the employees and customers. One of them is through the vaccination against covid-19. AirAsia Philippines saw the importance of vaccination and now, they are almost nearing a 100% vaccinated flight crew mark!
Currently, 213 of 217 cabin crew and 106 of 109 pilots have received covid-19 vaccine shots, meaning 98% of the flight crew have been vaccinated. Hopefully, we should see a 100% vaccinated AirAsia Philippines flight crew.
97.6% of AirAsia Philippines’ employees are vaccinated against CoviD-19
Four months after the internal “Take that Shot” campaign, 97.6% of the total number of AirAsia Philippines employees have been vaccinated. Around 92% of the ground crew (guest services and boarding gates staff) has received their shot. Meanwhile, 100% of the ramp agents have been vaccinated. Also, employees in the back office departments including the Office of the CEO, Finance, Communications & Public Affairs, Branding, Sales, Marketing, and People & Culture have been 100% vaccinated.
Only a total of 24 AirAsia employees remain unvaccinated due to various reasons such as pregnancy and other health conditions. including personal reasons.
Passengers feel more safe flying with a vaccinated crew
In a recent survey conducted by AirAsia Philippines, 91.4% of passengers agree that they feel safer flying with a fully vaccinated crew.
