As travel demand seem to be going up slowly, Philippine Airlines is increasing its international and domestic flights on certain routes. The recent resumption also of domestic leisure travel this June is a welcome sign.
Philippine Airlines on increasing its flights is also brought about by travel restrictions being eased
According to PAL though, authorities currently impose flight arrival restrictions at Manila airport that require airlines to cancel some previously scheduled flights and/or re-route other flights to Cebu or Clark airports. As for the domestic sector, point-to-Point travel from NCR Plus to areas under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MGCQ) shall be allowed without age restrictions subject to an RT-PCR test-before-travel requirement for those below eighteen years old (18) and above sixty-five (65) (ALL traveler age groups), and other protocols and restrictions as may be imposed by the DOT and the Local Government Unit of destination.
Below is the updated flight timetable of PAL as of today, June 2, 2021. Please note that this is highly subject to change given the ongoing pandemic. This is beyond the airline’s control especially when it comes to government restrictions.

The need for a unified set of domestic travel requirements
Domestic travel is a key that will drive airlines into recovery. However, the national government has no mandate for local government units to just implement a more unified set of requirements and to ease entry restrictions. In fact, going on a domestic travel in the Philippines is as complicated as flying to international destinations. Every LGU have different set of requirements which can even be more complicated than getting an international visa.
Now that leisure travel has been allowed by the Inter-Agency Task Force of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), we hope these inconsistent travel requirements by different LGUs would be addressed.
We are happy however that Philippine Airlines is now increasing its flights.
For now, please do continue to check flight updates on the official PAL website and with your respective LGUs.
