Cebu Pacific Expands Its Domestic Routes

As travel restrictions in the Philippines continue to loosen, Cebu Pacific is restarting more routes and frequencies across its domestic network.

Starting March 27, flights from Manila (MNL) to Boracay (MPH) will run up to 16 times daily; Bohol (TAG) up to 7 times daily; Cagayan de Oro (CGY) up to 10 times daily; Cebu (CEB) up to 18 times daily; Davao (DVO) 10 times daily; and Iloilo (ILO) 3 times daily (ILO).

Flights to other destinations around the country, including Siargao (IAO) and Surigao (SUG) via Manila, Calbayog (CYP) via Cebu, Iloilo and Zamboanga (ZAM) via Davao, and General Santos (GES) via Iloilo, will resume this month.

Cebu Pacific’s CCO, Xander Lao, said the airline continues to see “good indicators in the industry” and is trying to meet demand.

The Philippines relaxed an almost two-year ban on foreign travelers entering the nation in February. Passengers who have been fully vaccinated and have a visa-free agreement with the Philippines are now allowed to enter without quarantine if they have tested negative for COVID-19 prior to arrival.

According to the most recent schedules supplied by OAG, Cebu Pacific is operating roughly 255,000 seats across its network this week (w/c March 7, 2022), down nearly 43% from the same week in 2019. By the end of the month, though, capacity is expected to increase by over two-thirds, to about 420,000 weekly seats.
