No airline does digital media content like AirAsia Philippines

Travelers are getting younger and more tech savvy. Under the new normal, our mobile device or laptops are what keeps us connected with what’s going on. Social media and other forms of digital content has taken over as a source of information and marketing. It is now up to companies to embrace change or be left behind. Well, there is one airline that does not only want to be left behind. They want to go above and beyond. We are talking about AirAsia Philippines, and no airline does digital media content like them.

Airline digital media content like no other

What do you get when you put together three former ‘Kapuso’ personalities in one company? You get a solid content experience at par done by TV networks. We are talking about former Kapuso news anchor turned pilot Steve Dailisan, former Starstruck Avenger Princess Guevara, and former Kapuso employee who worked behind the scenes Alvin Lasco. They joined forces together at AirAsia where Steve is currently the airline’s spokesperson and corporate communications head. Princess Guevara and Alvin Lasco are AirAsia cabin crew members.

The goal of AirAsia Philippines was simple. They wanted to create content that will get people to fly again! They also wanted it to be a source of information about flying.

Now these are not just your typical video content. The airline did invest on high quality graphics, holograms, and effects which are used by TV networks. They placed them all together and called their video series “Allstars At Your Service.” These are a series of videos featuring Steve and Princess. Season 1 is done which has 10 episodes all in all.

Allstars At Your Service Season 2

Season 2 sees more interesting content which now focuses on travel destinations. This new season now features three hosts, namely Steve Dailisan, Princess Guevara, and now Alvin Lasco! Talk about seasoned media personalities throwing all their experience, skills, and knowledge into AirAsia’s content marketing efforts!

According to AirAsia, the production team took it a notch higher as they widened the show’s scope and concept. Aside from developments in innovating the audio visual components, transitioning from studio shoot to on-site shoot flying to AirAsia’s top local destinations in the Philippines, two new segments were introduced with the goal of uplifting travel experience, and featuring celebrities and influencers flying with airasia.

Adapting also the previous season’s concept of featuring the inspiring stories of our Allstars, the production team has decided to expand the initiative by highlighting the resilience of AirAsia’s partner stakeholders and businesses who are also diligently working, optimistic about the tourism sector’s recovery.

Content clearly made to appeal to today’s travelers

AirAsia Philippines’ AYS videos are clearly made to appeal to today’s generation. They were designed and directed well to bring more excitement and being informative as well. More than they, AYS episode 2 is made to get people to fly with AirAsia as travel restrictions continue to easen up.

Honestly, we have not seen an airline go this far when it comes to producing their own content. Obviously, AirAsia Philippines did nail it!
