Cebu Pacific’s new A330neo features Cebu-inspired features

It is said by wise people that it is the trip, not the destination that matters. When you fly to General Santos or Davao with Cebu Pacific, you’ll be flying on the airline’s newest and greenest aircraft, the A330neo. (In the future, the A330neo will fly to more locations.)

Keep a look out for the cabin interiors, which are inspired by CEB’s homeland of Cebu and reflect the hues of the Philippine islands. The first thing you’ll notice is a lighting panel in a bright, inviting shade of turquoise, reminiscent of the beautiful waters of the Philippines. Then look at the front and back walls, which have a raised CEB logo on a brilliant blue-on-blue mango pattern, a nod to Cebu’s iconic fruit.

Seat covers with a carbon fiber texture reminiscent of Cebu’s famous puso or hanging rice, carpet patterns inspired by the airline’s eagle icon, select lavatory walls in a shade of mango yellow, and CEB’s signature blue and yellow accents incorporated into the seat design for standard and premium seats, are among the other design details to look out for.

The A330neo has the quietest cabin of any aircraft to date, allowing CEB to provide a better overall customer experience for everybody. All upcoming CEB neo aircraft deliveries will feature the updated cabin design.

“We hope this new customer cabin experience contributes to more smiles ahead for everyJuan, as travel plans resume. Designed with our passengers’ comfort and experience in mind, our new cabin interiors reflect how proud we are to hail from Cebu, and to represent the Philippine islands wherever we fly,” Candice Iyog, Vice President of Marketing and Customer Experience at CEB, agrees.

“This project was all about infusing the cabin with the Cebu Pacific brand,” According to Daniel Baron, managing director of LIFT Aero Design, the aircraft design firm responsible for the A330neo’s design, which is based in Tokyo and Singapore, “We focused on translating the airline’s distinct yellow and blue palette into a calm inflight environment that reflects their youthful and dynamic identity and Cebu roots.”

On December 15, 2021, CEB’s new A330neo aircraft began operations with a Manila-Davao-Manila trip. It is equipped with 459 lightweight Recaro seats, allowing more passengers to be carried on a single journey while reducing carbon emissions per passenger. With the latest innovations, the A330neo burns 25% less fuel than previous generation aircraft and is extremely eco-friendly, consuming only 1.4 gallons per seat per 100 kilometers.

“CEB’s first A330neo brings us closer to our target of having an all-Neo fleet by 2027, and shows our commitment to making air travel accessible, while ensuring environmental and social sustainability,” Cebu Pacific’s Chief Strategy Officer, Alex Reyes, stated.
In addition to its 12 overseas destinations, CEB has the Philippines’ largest internal network, with 33 locations to choose from. Two dedicated ATR freighters are among its 73-strong fleet.

The A330neo has a capacity of 459 seats, which allows for more passengers without sacrificing interior comfort. This eco-plane, which is equipped with cutting-edge technologies and an industry-leading cabin design, uses 25% less fuel than previous generation aircraft, consuming as little as 1.4 liters per seat every 100 kilometers, burning less fuel and producing less carbon.
