Our bleeding tourism sector needs a huge boost. As such, AirAsia wants you to experience Luzon and help boost the tourism sector. AirAsia currently flies to two airports in Luzon. However, they are now making plans for their next moves. AirAsia committed their support during a virtual conference hosted by the Department of Tourism and the Tourism Congress of the Philippines.
AirAsia has a digital platform called the ASEAN app. This offers a wide range of products and services involving travel and tourism beneficial to air travelers.
Fueling the tourism sector
AirAsia has been working hard to fuel the travel and tourism sector amidst this crisis. They believe that all efforts in promoting tourism will exceed the pre-pandemic data in terms of tourist arrivals and activity.
The island of Luzon is filled with tourist spots, all the way from the northernmost Batanes island to the Albay region. To name a few are the Heritage City of Vigan, the sand dunes of Ilocos, the Cordillera mountain range, the stone-houses of Batanes, and of course, Mayon Volcano.
Of course, the world-famous Banaue Rice Terraces is never to be missed out. After which, you can enjoy the Baguio breeze. In other words, there are so much places for you to enjoy in Luzon. However, visiting them will be made easier through AirAsia’s digital platform. We can’t wait to see how AirAsia shall accomplish this. Their ASEAN app looks promising beyond just an airline booking app.
Last month, AirAsia hosted virtual programs in partnership with local tourism groups in Visayas. AirAsia presented initiatives on safe domestic tourism in response to the foreseen surge in travel demand as soon as community quarantine restrictions are lifted.
As such, AirAsia will soon allow you to enjoy Luzon more, helping our tourism sector.
