AirAsia Philippines announces that COVID-19 test for fully vaccinated individuals will be lifted for all domestic destinations. This comes after Zamboanga City issued EO BC691-2021 dated 16 November 2021. Fully vaccinated passengers inbound the city will only require the copy of their vaccination card and S-Pass as entry requirements.
In addition, effective November 16, AirAsia passengers will no longer be required to wear face shields at the airport, within the aircraft, and at all locations under Alert levels 1, 2, and 3, in accordance with IATF Resolution 148-D and as advised by the Department of Transportation.
AirAsia Philippines Spokesperson Steve Dailisan said, “AirAsia is very excited for all these exciting developments in the travel and tourism sector. Slowly but surely, we will achieve that sense of normalcy we all have been praying for. Likewise, there is no room for complacency. AirAsia will continue to strictly implement established health and safety protocols for the protection of all our guests and staff.”
With pent-up demand for air travel expected, AirAsia will increase its domestic frequency in December. AirAsia will restart its international operations, with 1x weekly flights to Singapore and 2x weekly flights to Hong Kong, starting on December 4 to serve Overseas Filipino Workers and business travelers.
