MANILA, Philippines (AP) —Cebu Pacific announced on Tuesday that it had received its tenth brand new A321neo (new engine option) aircraft from Airbus’ Hamburg factory on April 2.
The airline added in a statement that the latest aircraft is also its 18th eco-plane in its fleet.
Cebu Pacific claims that the A321neo has a 20% higher fuel efficiency and a 50% lower noise footprint than prior-generation aircraft.
According to the airline, the move to more fuel-efficient NEO engine aircraft, according to the airline, not only helps its sustainability strategy, but also allows it to continue offering inexpensive rates.
“The arrival is timely because we see positive developments indicating recovery. We are continuously ramping up our domestic network and are preparing for more international destinations to ease restrictions for leisure travelers,” Cebu Pacific chief strategy officer Alex Reyes said.
Cebu Pacific said that its newest A321neo aircraft will begin service later this month, flying to a variety of local locations across the company’s domestic network.
Cebu Pacific stated the cabin’s attractions are lightweight ergonomic seats with yellow and sky-blue embellishments.
Cebu Pacific currently has 22 A320ceo, 6 A320neo, 7 A321ceo, 10 A321neo, 6 A330ce0, 2 A330neo, 14 ATR 72-600, 6 ATR 72-500, and 2 ATR Freighters in its fleet.
