Cebu Pacific jet carrying 500,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines has arrived

A Cebu Pacific jet carrying 500,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccines has arrived in Manila just this morning. This is Cebu Pacific’s very first international shipment of Covid-19 vaccines. These vaccines are government procured ones from Sinovac in China. Flight 5J 671 from Beijing landed in Manila at around 7:18am.

Cebu Pacific also continues in airlifting these vaccines around the country. So far, they have transported around 264,000 doses of vaccines. No specific brand was mentioned.

In a media release, Cebu Pacific COO Michael Ivan Shau said, “this delivery marks our first international vaccine shipment and we are grateful for the trust and confidence of the DOH. More importantly, we remain steadfast in our commitment to support our country’s recovery efforts in every way possible.”

Local airlines like Cebu Pacific continue to work hand-in-hand with the government in the airlifting of the vaccines. Aside from just flying these vaccines around the country, the airline would now fly to international hubs, fetching these vaccines.

With the help of our airlines and the air transportation sector, we hope more people get vaccinated. We hope that this Covid-19 pandemic finally ends.
