Singapore Airlines has started flying between Cebu and Davao on a daily basis

Singapore Airlines will begin daily flights from Singapore-Changi to Cebu and Davao on Friday, April 1, 2022, according to the airline’s announcement on Wednesday.

For the new flights, SIA will use a triangular route of Singapore-Davao-Cebu-Singapore, as previously reported by AUP. This implies Cebu-bound Singaporeans will have to make a brief stop in Davao to drop off Davao-bound passengers.

“The expansion of our activities to Davao and Cebu demonstrates our commitment to build our network and expand our operations in the region.” The new service will provide our customers traveling on our regional routes with a more comfortable and smooth travel experience, as well as further strengthen Singapore as a destination and a leading aviation hub by providing greater convenience and connection. Mr. Lee Yong Tat, Singapore Airlines General Manager Philippines, said, “We look forward to greeting our passengers from Davao and Cebu on board to enjoy a terrific way to fly.”

SQ-906 is scheduled to depart Changi Airport at 12:35 p.m. (UTC+8) and arrive in Davao at 4:00 p.m. (UTC+8). The flight will then proceed to Cebu, departing from Davao at 5:00 p.m. and arriving at 6:00 p.m. SQ-906 will depart Cebu at 6:50 p.m. and arrive in Singapore at 10:35 p.m. for the final leg of the journey.

On its new flights to Cebu and Davao, Singapore Airlines will use the 162-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The newer Boeing 737-8 MAX model will be deployed from May 1, 2022, according to SIA’s reservation system.

Guests who are fully vaccinated can enter Singapore without being quarantined if they present a negative pre-departure test two days prior to the flight departure date and meet visa criteria.

Furthermore, travelers on SIA and Scoot flights are permitted to transit through Singapore regardless of their vaccination status, as long as they meet the entry requirements for their final destination.

Singapore Airlines will begin flights to Cebu and Davao for the first time. SilkAir, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, used to fly the same triangular route but stopped due to the COVID-19 outbreak and its subsequent merger with mainline SIA.
