Cebu Pacific plans to rebuild its domestic capacity to its pre-pandemic levels

As the summer time arrives, the airline has seen a 200 percent growth in its average daily flights, both domestic and international combined, from around 100 in 2020 to around 300 now. Flight frequencies from Manila to popular domestic destinations like Boracay and Cebu have surpassed their 2019 levels.

Currently, the airline is operating at 96% of its pre-pandemic domestic capacity. CEB has been able to carry more people and improve its cargo service, resulting in faster and more efficient commodities moving across its largest domestic network.

CEB also reached a new milestone today, flying its 200 millionth passenger on one of its 18 daily Manila-Cebu flights. CEB flew this route for the very first time in 1996.

“We are excited to safely fly everyJuan to their destinations so they could reunite with their families and loved ones, or pursue their business interests, or revisit tourist destinations. It is encouraging to see and feel travel confidence returning. We thank our passengers for their continued trust, and we will endeavor to live true to our promise of providing safe, affordable, and accessible air travel for every Juan,” Cebu Pacific’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Lance Gokongwei, stated.

CEB continues to provide guaranteed low rates to encourage Filipinos and tourists alike to travel. As part of its month-long anniversary celebration, #CEBSuperSeatFest is still going on.

Cebu Pacific has the Philippines’ largest internal network, with 33 locations to choose from in addition to its 14 foreign destinations. Two (2) specialised ATR freighters are among its 74-strong fleet, which is one of the world’s youngest.

For COVID-19 compliance, CEB received a 7-star safety rating from airlineratings.com. It continues to take a multi-layered approach to safety and employs a fully vaccinated crew, all to ensure that every Juan travels safely and comfortably on Cebu Pacific.
