PAL has a new video, and you should check it

It is been seven months that Philippine Airlines has released a video on social media. However, this new PAL video which was released just yesterday is very nice and speaks well of the airline. It’s entitled “You’re Why We Fly Safe.”

So this new content basically shows how PAL has been continuing its “mission” amidst the pandemic. Of course, they too showcase all their safety protocols and measures. However, the video is actually not much of a “you’re why we fly safe” but more of a “you’re the reason why we fly.”

The “You’re Why We Fly Safe” basically talks more about PAL’s mission to serve the Filipinos and the country towards a brighter tomorrow. It highlights important things that are actually happening in the middle of the pandemic like the transportation of vaccines, the repatriation of OFWs to reunite families, and health workers being flown to serve a call of duty to fight covid-19. Of course, all safety measures and protocols have been highlighted from the airport to the aircraft and disembarkation. Included are how each aircraft are completely disinfected and of course, the HEPA filters onboard the aircraft.

Personally, we do love the new video of PAL and it is definitely catchy. However, they now need more consistency when it comes to digital marketing. The PAL YouTube account only has 66,000+ subscribers, and in a time when content marketing is proving to become an effective advertising tool, we hope that it will not take another 7 months before new content is released. Trust us, short films are a powerful tool. Look at what Jollibee is doing.

So far though, our favorite PAL short video was a Christmas short video. It showed a child waiting for his dad in the airport. It began when the child was at the arrival area looking for his dad among the passengers who had just arrived. While other families were seeing their loved ones, the child seemed sad that it was taking a while before his father showed up amongst those arriving. Suddenly, his dad showed up when the other passengers were gone, because the kid’s dad was the pilot! We hope to see more videos like that.

Anyway, please do check out PAL’s newest video and let us know what you think.
