“In April, AirAsia Thailand will resume flights to seven countries”

BANGKOK, March 14 — Beginning next month, AirAsia Thailand will restart international flights to seven countries on 18 itineraries.

Santisuk Klongchaiya, AirAsia Thailand’s chief executive officer, said that once Thailand’s borders reopen and travel restrictions are eased, the airline would continue to reintroduce international service on routes covering Asean and South Asian nations beginning next month..

From April, he added, the airline would travel to seven countries on 18 routes from three airports: Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport, Phuket’s International Airport, and Songkhla’s Hat Yai International Airport, for a total of 38 weekly flights.

“We chose to resume routes to countries that share Thailand’s reopening policy so that our guests can travel without having to worry about quarantine.

“The routes cover Asean and South Asian countries and we are working closely with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and relevant agencies to attract visitors while maintaining and adhering to public health measures,” he said in a statement.

At present, AirAsia Thailand flies from Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Maldives, and Singapore.

AirAsia Thailand will begin flying from Don Mueang International Airport to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang (Malaysia), Bangalore and Chennai (India), Phuket-Singapore, and Hat Yai-Kuala Lumpur beginning in April.

AirAsia Thailand will resume service from Bangkok to Kolkata, Kochi, and Jaipur (India), Da Nang (Vietnam), Johor Bahru (Malaysia), and Siem Reap (Cambodia) beginning in May. (Cambodia).

AirAsia Thailand stated that visitors flying from Thailand to various destinations on AirAsia flights will be able to travel without quarantine restrictions as long as they met the country’s travel criteria.

Travelers traveling in Thailand should register for an electronic entry certificate, Thailand Pass, in advance to take advantage of the quarantine-free “Test & Go” program.
