AirAsia Philippines to Shift Cebu, Caticlan Flights From Manila to Terminal 3

In another shift of flights at Manila’s airport, AirAsia Philippines announced it will be shifting domestic flights at Manila International Airport departing to Cebu and Caticlan (Boracay) to Terminal 3 from December 16.

Citing the growing holiday-driven traffic, the Philippine-based subsidiary of AirAsia will shift the flights to ease the queues and passenger load at Terminal 4. The move is expected to affect a total of 109 combined weekly flights.

“The exponential growth in the holiday demand this year is expected, especially given the fact that travel restrictions today are way more relaxed compared to the previous years’. We are optimistic that by moving our busiest domestic flights to NAIA Terminal 3, we get to alleviate the travel woes of our kababayans in aspects such as queuing, waiting and boarding,” said Ricky Isla, CEO, AirAsia Philippines.

The flights departing for Cebu and Caticlan at Terminal 4 will operate along with the airline’s international flights from Manila. All remaining domestic flights will remain at Terminal 4.

AirAsia Philippines’ announcement comes after Philippine Airlines shift of flights from Manila to the US, Guam, and Doha from its primary terminal – Terminal 2 – to Terminal 1.
