Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ largest airline, has achieved an 85 percent booster vaccination rate for its active flight crew, instilling trust and safety as travel demand is likely to rise, particularly as summer approaches.

This one is part of the airline’s commitment to safeguarding the safety of all Juans, including passengers and crew, while traveling with CEB.

CEB’s whole staff has grown by 81 percent. The CEB/JG Covid Protect Vaccination Program collaborated on this achievement, as well as different relationships with LGUs across the country.

“We are very happy to share this win with everyJuan as we all see travel opening up again, not only within the Philippines, but even to some international destinations. We want to keep doing what we can to make sure our passengers fly with peace of mind on CEB,”  Cebu Pacific’s Vice President for People Department, Felix Lopez, stated.

The COVID Protect program is a Gokongwei Group effort that applies to all of the company’s business groups. As a result of this program, CEB employees and their dependents, as well as third-party workers such as check-in agents and bag handlers, received free vaccinations.

Apart from this conglomerate-led campaign, CEB has been working closely with several local government units in recent months to ensure that its personnel are immunized as soon as feasible with whatever vaccine is available.

Since March 2021, the airline has been transporting immunizations across the country. Over 50 million vaccination doses have been securely transported across 28 domestic destinations by the airline to date.

For COVID-19 compliance, CEB received a 7-star safety rating from airlineratings.com. As it works to regain the public’s faith and confidence in air travel, it continues to employ a multi-layered strategy for safety.

In addition to its 14 overseas destinations, CEB has the Philippines’ largest internal network, with 33 locations to choose from. Two (2) specialised ATR freighters are among its 74-strong fleet, which is one of the world’s youngest.
