Travel restrictions in the Philippines are gradually lifting. Because of this, Cebu Pacific celebrates this milestone on time and in preparation for the expected increase in passengers in the coming months. Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, has now also achieved a 100% vaccination rate for its active flight crew thanks to its employee vaccination program, COVID Protect, and numerous agreements with LGUs across the country.
Free vaccination
The COVID Protect program is a Gokongwei Group effort that applies to all of the company’s business groups. Cebu Pacific employees and their dependents and third-party workers such as check-in agents and bag handlers received free vaccinations as a result of this program.
Apart from this conglomerate-led campaign, Cebu Pacific has been working closely with several local government units in recent months to ensure that its personnel is immunized as soon as possible with whatever vaccine is available.
Project Ingat-Angat
The whole crew of Cebu Pacific is now 98% fully vaccinated. Since March of this year, Cebu Pacific has been actively bringing vaccinations from overseas to the Philippines and across the country as the first airline partner of the Ingat-Angat initiative and a significant supporter of nation-building. At present, the airline has safely transported 16.5 million vaccine doses from China to the Philippines and nearly 25 million vaccine doses between 28 local destinations.
